“A Fragile World” The Wanganui Glass Festival has come and gone for another year but the industry carries on! And what a thriving industry of talent, education, enthusiasm and incredible quality right here in Wanganui. It was a great opportunity to showcase what our local artists are doing and the work they are producing for not only the local but also the national and international markets. From the work that was displayed in the retail shop windows to the pieces on sale in The Hub and the works auctioned off at our “The Fragile World” opening night, the interest was incredible this year. 2012 Whanganui Artists Open Studios

3rd February

Each year our artists open their studio doors and invite you to experience their creative world, welcoming your questions about their art practice, freely giving of their time, beliefs and experience and offering exceptional works directly from their studios and galleries at excellent prices. 2012 Whanganui Artists Open Studios on 17th-18th and 24th-25th March 2012. 10 am to 4 pm daily .
